For yummy handmade candy do not miss The Chocolate Factory in Dillsboro or visit   www.dillsborochocolate.com .  The heavenly smell of roasted coffee is  only exceed by  the taste!

For gourmet  foods like dips, and  goat cheeses, do not miss Country Traditions  also in Dillsboro.  They feature delicious gourmet food and wines. Dogwood Crafters, also in Dillsboro, is THE location to purchase local artist work.  Many of them donate time working there and you can meet them. There is a wide variety of hand made crafts at great prices. www.dogwoodcrafters.com 

Just across the Tuckasegee River is the Riverwood Shops. Be sure to visit The Well House for fresh home made sandwiches, soups, and salads. For fine local craft, The Oaks Gallery, can not be beat.
